the universe sheds a tear
the light goes slow
the waters once stirred
silently become clear
— Spring 2020, during a walk at the Aare after a difficult conversation

As I always design my workshops from the ground up, based on the specific needs and present conditions, I can basically create a workshop for almost anything. However, in order to give you a “map” of the “landscape” of what I can offer I came up with four categories (that are of course also very interlinked):

  1. Purpose - marrying action, meaning and body:
Working on the power of a shared and embodied (felt) purpose that can be put into practice.

  2. New ways of Working - navigating hype, potential and reality:
Exploring the interrelatedness of “outer” structural/organisational changes with the “inner” skills, attitudes and meanings. Unfold new patterns of working from there.

  3. Creativity - around the corners, beneath the carpet, above the clouds:
Playfully exploring new things or develop new solutions.

  4. Conflict - working at and with the edges
Jointly resolve conflict through process-oriented work at the edges. Recognise and unfold conflicts as a possibility for growth.

Purpose

- marrying action, meaning and body -
We live in a world on edge. To align our actions with our inspiration & aspiration without loosing touch of our bodies respiration…is really hard - to say the least. To work on purpose is to sit in the fire of our personal and collective heritage and becoming. If done well, with time and work, new clear-cut clarity can be forged.

If you as a team or organisation are implementing new forms of organisational structures with a higher degree of self-responsibility for each individual - purpose becomes the new ‘invisible leader’. Without clear, felt and shared purpose there is likely a lack of alignment. Without alignment, self-organisation can lead to more chaos rather than help you achieve your goals.

Questions you might find useful to contemplate wether working on your purpose is useful for you:

  • What is your foundational “raison d’être”? Do you feel connected to your foundational story & myth? The original reason that leads you to do what you do?

  • Is there something you dream about? Maybe so subtle it lives at the margins of your conscious awareness… or maybe so relentless it is starting to feel like a mosquito inside your head that doesn’t let you sleep?

  • How would you characterise your alignment within your team? Or your personal alignment with what makes you feel alive? With your values? With what you care about? With what your good at?

  • What is bothering or disturbing you? What might be its piece of wisdom for more aligned action?

New ways of working

- navigating hype, potential and reality
Low hierarchy, self-organised, agile and purpose-driven ways of working are en vogue. They promise to remedy the challenges of a globalised, fast-paced, uncertain and capitalist world under technological, economic, social and environmental pressure. Being myself a proponent and enthusiast of “change” and of “new ways of being & working in this world” I simultaneously have grown to be careful about both the promises and premises of this “new work” wave. My own experience has and still is teaching me that the transformations happening are so interwoven and multidimensional… jumping, dancing and blending between the internal worlds that are so deeply personal, often under-explored and the external worlds, often over-emphasized. In the workshop I focus on navigating the space between current reality and what could be.

Do you want to work on your collaboration? Are you planning a team-retreat? Are there tensions or conflicts that are blocking your potential? Or would you just simply want to train what is already working well even more?

In General, the process follows these 4 steps.

  1. Exploration of your organisational and cultural needs.

  2. Individual interviews

  3. Design and Facilitation of custom made Workshop (0.5-5 days)

  4. Debriefing

Reach out and we’ll take it together from there. If I’m not the right person for your needs I’m certain I can redirect you to someone who might be :)
